How to Install & Set Up the Depost AI Chrome Extension

Step 1: Add the Extension to Chrome

  1. Open this link in your Chrome browser: https://depost.ai/extension

  2. It will take you to the Chrome Web Store, and then click on "Add to Chrome"

  1. Confirm by clicking "Add Extension"

That’s it! It will now appear in your browser toolbar, next to the address bar.

Pin it for easier access: Click the puzzle icon 🧩 in Chrome → Click the pin 📌 beside Depost AI.

Step 2: Log In to Your Depost AI Account

Once installed:

  • Click the Depost AI icon in your toolbar, it will open the sidebar for you, like this

  • Click on "Open Dashboard for more data and advance filters," which appears at the top. It will open a screen, asking for your details.

  • Log in with your existing Depost AI credentials.

  • Depost AI dashboard will open in front of you, and your workspace is now synced with the extension.

Step 3: Explore Extension Settings

  • Click on the "settings" tab in your dashboard's sidebar.



  • Connect your LinkedIn account.

  • Set your preferred language. Depost AI supports all languages.

  • Add custom CTAs so they’re ready to use whenever needed.

  • Go to "Preferences" and customize how you want posts, comments, and messages to appear, your way.

Here's how,

1. Comment Settings

Enable smart comments and replies under posts you see on:

  • LinkedIn

  • Reddit

  • Twitter (X)

Set your preferences like this.

  • 1. Choose Your Tone of Voice

Pick how you want your comments to sound:

  • Options include: Professional, Casual, Friendly, Supportive, Insightful, Engaging, Humorous, and more.

  • Simply click to select the tone that best suits you.
    Example: Pick "Casual" for light and friendly comments.

  • 2. Select Comment Type

Decide what kind of response you want to give:

  • Do you want to share an opinion, ask a question, add insight, or maybe express gratitude?

  • You can choose one or more options like: Funny, Experience, Criticism, Feedback, Agree, Celebrate, etc.


    Tip: "Default" works if you're not sure what to pick.

  • 3. Add Custom Instructions (Optional)

If you want extra control:

  • Give Depost AI specific notes like:
    “Avoid technical words”,
    “Mention my company”, or
    “Keep it playful.”

  • 4. Set Word Limit

Choose how long you want your comments to be:

  • Options: 10, 20, 40, 60, 80, or 100 words

    Tip: 20 words is often enough to stay short and impactful.

  • 5. Select Number of Comments

Tell Depost AI how many comment variations you want:

  • Choose from 1 to 5 options per post.

    This helps you pick the one that feels just right.

6. Optional Add-ons

At the bottom, you can:

  • Add Emojis to make your comments more expressive

  • Mention someone directly in your replies

2. Message Settings

  • 1. Choose Your Tone of Voice

  • Pick how you want your messages to sound (professional, casual, friendly, etc.)

  • Click the tone that best suits your personality or the style of conversation.

    Example: Choose “Casual” for relaxed, friendly messages.

  • 2. Select Message Type

Decide the purpose of your DM:

  • Do you want to acknowledge, answer, schedule, follow up, clarify, thank, or even close the conversation?

  • Select the option that fits best. You can stick with "Default" if unsure.

Example: Choose “Gratitude” if you are replying with a thank-you.

  • 3. Add Custom Instructions (Optional)

Give Depost AI extra direction:

  • Add tips like:
    “Make it polite and supportive”,
    “Include a clear CTA”, or
    “Mention my LinkedIn profile link.”

  • 4. Set Word Limit

Pick how long you want your message to be:

  • Options range from 10 to 100 words

  • Go shorter for quick replies, longer for detailed follow-ups.

Example: 40 words is a nice sweet spot, not too short, not too long.

  • 5. Optional Extras

You can:

  • Add Emojis for a friendly touch

  • Mention someone directly if needed

3. Post Creation Settings

This section shapes how your LinkedIn posts are generated, based on your style, goals, and audience.

1. Choose Your Tone of Voice
Pick the tone that fits your personality or brand best:
Casual, Professional, Friendly, Insightful, or even Humorous, whatever suits your vibe.

2. Set Your Content Goals
Tell Depost AI what you’re aiming for with your posts:
Want to grow your personal brand? Build a community? Or maybe boost engagement?
Just tap your goal(s) and let the AI align with them.

3. Select Your Target Audience
Who are you writing for?
Whether you're targeting executivesstudentscontent creators, or the general public, select the audience you want to connect with.

4. Define Your Word Limit
Choose how long (or short) you want your posts to be:
From 50 words to 500 words, select the length that suits your content style or platform's rhythm.

5. Add Emojis or Hashtags (Optional)
Spice up your posts or boost reach by clicking “Add Emojis” or “Hashtags.”
A little touch goes a long way.

When you're done, hit Save and you’re all set!
Depost AI will now generate posts that match your tone, goals, and audience from the very first click.
