How to Use the “Ideas” Feature in Depost AI

Stuck in a creative block? Not sure what to post today?

Depost AI’s Ideas feature helps you quickly find fresh and relevant content ideas that fit your style, in just a few seconds.

Here’s how to make the most of it 👇

Step 1: Access the Ideas Tab

From your dashboard, head to the left sidebar and click on “Ideas.”

This will open a clean interface where you’ll either see your past ideas (if any) or a message that says:
“No ideas found for this filter.”
That’s normal because you haven’t generated any yet!

Click the “Generate” button on the top right to begin.

Step 2: Choose Your Idea Generation Mode

You’ll now see two tabs:

  • Personalized Ideas

  • Ideas from URL

Step 3: Fill Out the Idea Generator

Here’s what to enter:

  • Topics/Instructions
    Type in one or more comma-separated keywords, topics, or industries.

Example: personal branding, generative AI, leadership tips

  • Your Unique Narrative (Optional but powerful)
    Write a line or two about your story, brand, tone, or what makes your angle different.

Example: I share bold and witty insights on AI for content creators.

  • Content Goals
    Select from pre-set goals, such as Engagement, Thought Leadership, and Networking.

  • Target Audience
    Select your ideal audience, such as entrepreneurs, Creators, Job Seekers, and more.

Once everything’s filled in, click “Generate Ideas →” at the bottom.

Step 4: View & Save Your Generated Ideas

Your fresh ideas will instantly appear in the panel on the right.

From here, you can:

  • Read through your generated ideas

  • Save the ones you like

  • Use them as-is, or open in the editor to customize further

It’s your personalized content engine, trained on your voice and goals.

Bonus: Ideas from URL

Want ideas based on something you just read online?

  1. Click the “Ideas from URL” tab

  2. Paste any article, post, or web link

  3. Depost AI will extract key insights and convert them into post-worthy ideas.

Perfect for curating content or reacting to hot topics!

Optional Filters: Relevance & Time

Once you start generating and saving ideas, your “Ideas” tab will fill up with great content. To stay organized, you can use:

  • Relevance Filter:
    Sort your saved ideas by most relevant, recently generated, or best matched to your goals.

  • Time Filter:
    View ideas generated in the past day, week, month, or All Time. Great for revisiting past gold.

These filters help you find the right idea faster, especially as your library grows.

Pro Tips

  • Be specific in the “Topics” box; niche keywords give better ideas

  • Add a short brand tone to the narrative box (e.g., funny, bold, sarcastic, etc.).

  • Use saved ideas later from your dashboard under the “Ideas” tab

  • Combine with the Inspiration tab for double the creativity!
